As a frequent business traveler, my recent corporate retreat at University Plaza Waterfront Hotel in Auckland was a mixed experience. the 4 meeting rooms and the expansive Waterfront Ballroom were excellent for our events. However, the Wi-Fi connectivity was spotty at times, which made remote work challenging. On a positive note, the free parking and luggage storage were convenient for our team, allowing for easy access to our gear. The hotel's 24-hour reception and business center proved to be beneficial for our work demands, but the lack of express check-in/out was a minor inconvenience. the bar/lounge area was a pleasant spot for networking and winding down after meetings. the fitness center and outdoor swimming pool provided much-needed relaxation opportunities, although I wish the jacuzzi was better maintained. Overall, University Plaza Waterfront Hotel caters well to business travelers, offering essential amenities for a productive stay. With a few improvements in connectivity and additional express services, it could truly excel as a haven for corporate guests.
